After their first album knocked my block off, I knew this would be great. While not as hectic as Huxwhukw, it almost seems loonier, and the musicianship still astounds. It's a twisty-turny, bone-jarring ride through metal/jazz/post rock/avant garde territory that keeps you gripped through the whole album. Frightens, soothes, retches, sobs, throws punches, and gnashes gleaming jazz teeth before eating your face off with scourge-of-the-earth prog/sludge riffage. A real gem.
